I met a lot of great scrappers at the Scrapbooking meet at Magic Meets this weekend. It was fun to meet and share with lot of fellow Disney Scrappers. I hope I even talked a few of them into trying digital scrapping! So, if you're here because I inspired you to check out some digi stuff -- yippee! I thought I"d share some of my favorite digi Scrapping stores and forums for those who might want to start digital scrapping and don't know where to look!

I did it (again)! I'm a CMC!

Well, I pulled the trigger. I couldn't resist the $22 deal Creative Memories is offering to become a consultant. So, I'm officially a CMC again! I'm really excited! I don't want to do tons of classes or anything. I"m really hoping to be more of a digital consultant. I just have to figure out the ins and outs of the whole internet marketing rules and I'll be all set! As far as I know, I can post my website link here, so here it is! MY CM SITE

I plan to keep sharing free templates, etc, here for my blog readers and customers (if I ever get any!). Remember, you can order digital downloads right from my site! I'll find a place to put the link so you can always get to it from here. Oh yeah, here are two page templates I made to share as my first gift as a CMC! Enjoy! Some NON-Disney layouts to share!

I am just so proud of myself for doing some layouts of things RIGHT after they happened, that I just had to share! I did these layouts this week:

This layout uses mostly stuff from Britt-ish Designs (flowers, sunburst paper, alpha), a string from Ellie Lash, and polka dot paper by Creative Memories (delight kit). It documents what I hope will become an annual tradition -- free water ice at Rita's on the first day of spring!

Now this is a double page spread I did of an outing AJ and I took to the zoo just this past weekend! I told you, I'm on a scrapping spree!! This one uses papers and a ribbon from AWP's About a Boy kit (currently available for only $1!). I noticed that a lot of my pictures had browns and blues in them and they just came together nicely with this kit.

Digitreats P365 MICKEY template!

I love the stuff from Digitreats, even though it isn't Disney-specific (usually). But today, she rocked my world with this adorable character template! It is free right now, and then I'm guessing it will eventually be for sale in her store (that's how most of her stuff works). So, if you're quick about it, you can get this for free! Enjoy!

The template comes with .png's, so you can use it in SBC+ or any scrapbooking program out there!!

Sorry I have been AWOL for so long! I really need to update this poor little blog of mine! I have found some great Disney-ish kits in the past months and I have done a few layouts, so if I get my act together, maybe I can throw together a few posts about this stuff!!

Well, since it has been so long, I'd better start off with a bang! and this pixie kit from Ellie Lash is just that! What an awesome kit to scrap little girls dressed as fairies or pictures from Pixie Hollow at Disney World! Here's a picture of the kit and a link:

Some Calendar Layouts and SBC+ templates!

Every year, I make photo calendars for many of our relatives (parents, grandparents, and godparents). In the past I have used Shutterfly or Kodak Gallery's predesigned templates. This year I decided to digi-scrap them. I also decided that I wanted the process to go quickly, so I started by making some blank pre-designed pages to work with. I saved the blank templates and I will share them here for all of you SBC+ users to enjoy! Sorry, they don't work in any other programs, but you are free to scraplift them to use in the software program of your choice, too!

I'll show you the picture of the layout and then the template that I used. How's that? Here we go!!

Sorry I have been such a slacker lately! I was so busy getting ready for my Disney trip and then recovering from my Disney trip that my poor little blog got a tad neglected! Well, I have a lot to share since my trip, but I'll start with some exciting news -- I SOLD some pictures! I have been pretty pleased with some of the photos I snapped on my last two Disney trips and between ScrapShare and the DIS, I have had a few requests from Scrapbookers for some of my pics, so I decided to share them on Smugmug and even try to make a few cents here and there selling the prints. Well, someone ordered a bunch of my pics for their scrapbook yesterday and it just thrills me!! If you'd like to see the pictures I have available to share, go HERE and check them out! I make a few cents per print if you order them directly form Smugmug, so if you like my work, go ahead and order some prints for your scrapbook, OK?

I took a lot of night shots, castle, fireworks, and sign photos on this past trip. I'm headed back to the World in a few weeks (yes, I'm insane), so I'm taking photo requests, too! Cars fun and a kit!!

Yesterday we spent the morning at Disney's Hollywood Studios. we got there during morning Extra magic Hours so that we could ride the new Toy Story Mania ride. It was fantastic!!! We also wanted to see the Cars characters today, so we hunter them down and finally found them at Luigi's Casa Della Tires behind the exit from the Muppet movie. We had already looked in two otehr places beofre we found them! Good thing we are persistent!! AJ had a blast seeing Lightning McQueen up close and personal and, since it must be my lucky day, Britt-ish Designs came out with the perfect digi-scrap kit for my photos this week!!

I did it! I finished the book!

I found a TON of awesome coupons online and they reduced the price for my two books from $233.98 to $150.60!! I was going to order one book from CM and one from Shutterfly, but since CM wanted $175 for one book, I just couldn't do it. Anyway, I digress, click HERE to go to my book!!! Quick Layout!

I did this quick layout today for this week's DIS Didgi-scrapper's challenge. This challenge was right up my alley -- I had to use at least 5 pictures to tell a story, include a title, journaling, and a Mickey head. I always take a ton of pictures, so I had no problem with these requirements! Everything in the Layout is from Britt-ish Designs Space Ranger kit. Enjoy!

I scanned a bunch of stuff from my last trip so that I could use it in my digital layouts. I had a request for a copy of the P&P party map and then I realized other people might be interested in these scans, too! So, here they are -- all the maps and brochures that I scanned from my January 2008 trip. I'm going back to the World in September, so I'll add those maps when I return! Finished another Pirate Layout!!

Whew! I think I'm finally finished doing my pages from the pirate & princess party back in January! I had so many pictures from the party, it was really hard to narrow them down! I also wanted to include some memorabilia from the night, so that's where this page came in. I scanned the map from the party and also my Annual Passholder Exclusive Pin from the event to use on this page. I'm really happy with how it came out! I used papers and elements from Britt-ish Designs Shiver Me Timbers, Pirate Princess, and Pirate add-on kits. I also used a tape element from Ellie Lash's About a Boy kit.

What with the Olympics starting (how 'bout those opening ceremonies!) and ScrapMatters re-launching their site (yes, just as exciting as the olympics for some of us!!), there is just so much going on today! I think I plan to stay in my jammies all day surfing the web and watching hours of Olympic coverage! Sounds like fun to me!! I might not make it all day, but I'll sure try!

Anyway, the real reason that I'm posting is because there are some GREAT new Disney kits out there today and I want to get them up here ASAP. This first one is my favorite. I can't WAIT to dig out my Buzz Lightyear pics and go to town with this kit. It is from Britt-ish Designs (of course). Click the pic to go to the store:

I'm doing a whole photobook of the trip and we had SO much fun at the P&P party that I ended up doing 10 pages JUST from that night! No wonder this book is taking me so long to do!! WOW -- I'm so behind! Here's a little about what I've been up to...

Whew! I'm sorry I'm so behind on this blogging thing. I found tons of great Disney stuff in the past week and I kept meaning to post it, but then life just got away from me. We had swim classes and Magic Meets (a huge gathering of crazed Disney fans that get together in PA of all places), a trip to Hershey Park, a dog show, and I don't even know what else in there!

Anyway, I haven't shared much about me on this blog yet, and I guess maybe I should. I think that is a lot of the reason I frequent some of the blogs I do, because I like the person publishing them, not just for the freebies or links (although I do LOVE freebies!). So, I guess if I want people to LIKE me, they might need to know a little about me! So, since I mentioned my crazy schedule, here are a few photos form the last week or so, so you can see what I've been up to:

My son AJ and husband Scott meeting Mike Scopa at Magic Meets (Scopa is a celebrity among Disney freaks like me, he is a cohost on the WDW Today podcast, my favorite Disney podcast!)

Besides being a Disney geek and digital scrapbooker, I also have another obscure hobby -- Dog Agility. I haven't been participating in dog shows as much lately (gas prices and saving all of my $$ for Disney trips have interfered with my dog show budget!), but I did go to a local one this past weekend. It was sponsored by the club that I teach classes for, so I guess that's a good reason for me to go!

My dog Porter (yes, he's named after beer, just like my first dog Lager!) and I competed in three events and he qualified in two of them! That's a pretty good day for me and Porter. We tend to go to shows and come home with nothing a lot, so two Q's out of three is a real accomplishment for us! The venue we competed in this weekend is called DOCNA. It is a relatively new and FUN agility venue. We had a blast competing and here is a picture of us running:

I have a video clip, too, but i can't figure out how to post it. If I figure that out, I'll post the video sometime, too. Anyway, that's a little about what has been going on here in the past week. Hope I didn't bore you to death! I'll go root through my bookmarks and downloads now to dig up all those Disney freebies and kits I spotted for you this week and post those next! Enjoy!

I plan to buy it today, even though I don't have any little princesses. I'll find a way to use it, even if I have to get MY pictures with the princesses next time I go to Disney World! Mommies can be princesses, too, right??

A Little About me and a Speed Scrap Layout!

This is a layout I did for last night's speed scrap at ScrapMatters. I wanted to scrap these pictures of my son and the dogs (my three boys, as I call them) while the memory was fresh in my head. My son AJ is 3.5 and LOVEs to get dirty. My dogs Lager and Porter are 9 and 8 years old respectievly and they, too, like to get dirty! What a perfect combination! So, I decided to load them all into the van and take them to a beautifful park near our home where they could romp and play in the water and dirt to their hearts content.

I took some pictures of the park that day, too. I want to do a page of those as well, but I didn't get to that yet! The area of the stream we were playing in is right under and old, authentic wooden covered bridge! How cool is that? The underside of the bridge is beautiful and hearing cars creak across it while you are sitting underneath it is really cool. I don't think there are a lot of covered bridges left around, so this is probably kind of a unique experience. I"ll have to remember to include that tidbit when I journal the page with the bridge photos!

A layout and a Polynesian/Adventureland kit idea

Here is a layout I did a little while ago that I just love. It is an example of a LO using a kit that personifies some Disney stuff for me without being a "Disney" kit. I love Dole Whips and we try to get at least every time we go to the World! On this particular trip, we introduced my MIL to the delicious Dole Whip, so I made sure to get pictures of all of us enjoying our frosty treats! When I stumbled on Ellie Lash's Waiamea kit, it just screamed DOLE WHIPS at me!! I'm sure it could also be used for Beach Club and Polynesian LO's as well. Here is the LO (click pic for credits):

Today is a fantastic day for Disney Digi-scrapping! I found some fantastic freebies and kits for sale for Disney stuff! Let's start with this awesome kit for scrapping Cruise pics. I haven't been on a Disney cruise yet, but I'm keeping this kit in mind in case I ever do! It isn't Disney-specific, but it is perfect for those cruise pics! It is from Digital Dry Goods. Click on the pic to go pick it up!
While I was perusing Digital Dry Goods, I also stumbled on this gem, which I hope to play with soon, as I have MANY of Goofy waiting to be scrapped! I think this kit ROCKS! Check it out!
I promise to post my layouts when I get them made! Oh yeah, speaking of Disney and character photos, Britt of Britt-ish designs came out with some awesome stuff for Disney/character photos today, too. I can't wait to play with these! I bought everything she released today! Here are the two Disney themed items -- stickers:

and while I was shopping at SM, I picked up these borders by Ellie Lash. They said "Disney" to me, too!

and then somewhere along the line today, during all of my freebie hunting and digi shopping, I stumbled on this kit which looks perfect for some Animal Kingdom LO's! I have some kits in my stash already for AK, but this one looks great, too. Check it out!

POP Century Freebie!!

This file stared out as just the POP logo with the burst behind it. A fellow digital scrapper, Fran, on the DIS boards made it and I asked if she would share the file with me. I went to use it on my layout and decided to expand on her design. Then we decided to share the finished product with all of you! Check out Fran's blog to say thanks and check out her other work!

OK, so today I think I'll try to cover Disney princess kits. I found some great freebies today, so that kind of inspired me. I'll start with those.

Fabulous Freebie Finds Today!

Wow -- I snagged some great freebies today! One of them will be great for Tomorrowland or Future World photos, too! So, since I'm a freebie junkie, here are my fantastic finds for today!

Built Tough from Raspberry Road designs. A great set of papers and elements for the tough little dudes in your life. If your kid likes diggers like mine does, this kit is a must have!

Here is the kit I sad could be good for Disney Tomorrowland or Future World layouts. I just think it is adorable! It is a collab between Pineapple Plantation, Scrap Orchard, and Ziggle Scraps and it is great! And another great general freebie from Angel in my Pocket Designs today. yet another piece of her HUGE Sweet Orange Blitz kit! Disney Digital Scrapping Kits

I seem to have gotten myself a tiny little following on the DIS and ScrapShare as the Disney Digital LO lady. So, in order to summarize what I have been telling people, I think I'll start a list of my favorite sites and kits for scrapping Disney Digital pages.

Today I think I'll focus on general kits that work for Disney pics and Mickey pics. I will do future posts on Princesses, Pirates, Hollywood themes, Safari themes, character themes, and different "land" themes.

The kit I seem to reach for first is Britt-ish Designs Leave the World Behind. I actually scored it for free the first week it came out by sending Britt a show-off, but I would have scarfed it up instantly when it came out no matter what!! I LOVE this kit!

What a response and a freebie template!

Wow! I added one little line to my siggie that said, "check out my digital scrapbooking layouts here" and in the past two days, I have gotten 6 PM's asking me about digital scrapbooking! Wow! I am blown away (I never get PM's!)! All of these PM's were from the DIS, BTW. I want to blog more about digital scrapbooking, especially since I use Creative Memories StoryBook Creator Plus software. I LOVE this software (and no, I don't sell it). I want to help people learn how to use it and have FUN creating digital works of art. To that end, I'm offering the first or hopefully many freebie downloads that can be used in SBC+ to make pages. It is a blank template version of this layout:

You have to download the file, unzip it and save it in your StoryBook folder in SBC+, then you can open it as a project and add your pictures. You can then move the LO to any of your albums in progress. Make sure to save the new file with a new name, so you can keep the blank template for future use. If any of this isn't clear, let me know! This is the first time I'm trying this!! So, without further delay, HERE is the download link!!

Mickey Plates

This may seem silly, but today I'm talking about Mickey Plates. These are the plates that kid's meals are served in at Walt Disney World. I posted about them on the DIS and it turns out that I'm not the only crazy person that saves the plates and re-uses them at home! My 3 year old loves to eat his snacks out of these Mickey plates and I love how deep they are, so they keep the snacks in place, especially if I give him something he's allowed to carry around the house!

Anyway, someone requested a picture of the plates, so as I was uploading it etc, I decided to take the opportunity to test the Blog This! button in Picasa. It seems to work! I love Picasa. I'll write about that another day.

A Good Day for Freebies!

I found some really cute digital scrapbooking freebies today. I found them all through DigiFree, but I thought I'd share the ones I decided to pick up here. Sometimes that DigiFree can be a little overwhelming! Here are the kits and things I thought were worthwhile today:
Budding Artist -- adorable! I was sure this was one of those that wasn't really a freebie when I saw it on DigiFree, but it really is free and I love it!!
Cherry Bomb. It has red, black and white, so I think it might be useful for some Disney pages, if nothing else!!
Cherry Lemonade I got the rest of this one the other day, but here's a link to all the parts that are up right now. This looks like a fun kit for summer stuff
I snagged this Word Art, too. It cracked me up and I can't wait to scrap it!!
I had to have this Fourth Of July kit, too. Not sure what I'm going to use it for yet, but it caught my eye.

The Furminator (AKA the $50 dog brush)

I can't believe I spent $50 on a DOG BRUSH. Dog crate, sure! Dog show, of course! Do brush? Not so much. But I have to say, after one day of owning the Furminator, i already believe that I got my money's worth. This thing is AMAZING! I have two Labrador Retrievers, one yellow and one chocolate and they are shedding like crazy right now, so I splurged for the Large, $50 version of the Furminator. I read a few reviews of the product online and I decided that I had to have it. The piles of dog hair on my grass outside tell me that I made a good decision. Well, buying it was a good decision, I'm not sure if brushing them outside on a windy day was the best idea, my neighbors downwind might not have been so thrilled!! Oh well, at least there is a HUGE pile of dog hair outside instead of piling up in the corners of my house. If you have a shedding dog, and are wondering if the Furminator is worth the price, I say go for it. And if you have neighbors that you don't like, brush the dog when the wind is blowing their way!!

Nerdiness

I found this fun quiz on Britt's blog and i just had to try it. Since my group of friends in high school referred to ourselves collectively as the "Nerd Herd", I guess it isn't surprising that the quiz deemed me slightly nerdy (well, actually low-ranking nerd to be precise)! Gotta Blog!

I finally decided to start a blog. I know, everyone who is anyone started a blog YEARS ago. Oh well, I guess I'm behind the times as usual! I actually set up a Blogger account well over a year ago, I just never DID anything about it! Now that I'm getting into digital scrapbooking and sharing files and such, I could see why I needed a blog. I hope to use this space to share things I love, including digital scrapbooking stuff like freebies and layouts, Disney stuff, dog stuff, parenting stuff, and other cool stuff that happens to be on my mind that day! I hope someone out there finds it helpful! Well, at least I might find it helpful! Here is a page I'm downloading freebies from right now. Cute stuff!
